Daily Blog - January 25, 2009

Well, I've finished all my quests in Duskwood and I'm still not quite at level 30 yet. I could do some grinding and probably get there pretty quick, but that's boring. I decided to go ahead and move over to the Wetlands as I believe it is somewhat comparable to Duskwood level wise. I'll do all the quests there and I should make it to level 30 by then. My alternative is to try and run the deadmines, but I think it would be pretty difficult to solo at level 29. Plus I don't get any experience from killing mobs there only completing a few of the quests. Not worth it. Stranglethorn Vale would be the next logical step after Duskwood, but I believe I would be out of my league there as well. I don't want to stuggle fighting mobs a couple levels above me. So that's why I pick the Wetlands. It'll take some running around, but shouldn't be too long before I reach my current goal of level 30 for my Paladin. After that I will play my Warrior, although I am getting partial to my Paladin. I fee like I really have a hang on what he can accomplish and have a pretty good battle rotation going after playing for the past 10 levels. It's been a lot of fun. I'm sure I will find the same thing with the Warrior as well once I get into it. For the Paladin I was able to kill that elite guy that's in the grave yard which was a couple levels higher than me. I was out of mana, nearly out of health and used my potions as well, but I did end up killing him all by myself. I thought that was pretty cool.

Daily Blog - January 19, 2010

Played again last night and got my Paladin to level 27. Still in Duskwood but starting to get into orange quests which mean the mobs are a higher level than myself. Not that big of a deal, but if a bunch of them get on top of me then I may be in trouble. I had 3 of those werewolf things on me at once (all level 27 or higher) and I was able to take care of them. I was almost out of health and out of mana but was able to manage. If one more was to get on me though I would have been toast. I will play again tonight, but may not get to 28 as it'll take alot of quests to get there. We'll see. I wonder what new skills if any I will get..... I get an upgrade in Exorcism which will be nice in Duskwood, new spells Judgement of Justice and Shadow Resistance. The Justice one prevents the mob from running off which would be nice and Shadow resistance can be used against those werewolf thingys. Nothing too exciting though.

Daily Blog - January 18, 2009

Been a little while since I've posted an entry but I have been playing. My paladin is up to level 26 now and I'm running around the 4 corners of Duskwood doing quests. Still have several more to do, but not sure if I'll hit level 30 before I'm done. I hope so though since the next area would be too high level for my Paladin. Duskwood is a good area for Paladins though with my Exorcism spell. It's pretty nice having a long range spell to bring in mobs and a good start with a crit on the undead which there's plenty of in this area. Will play some more tonight and probably end up on level 27.

Daily Blog - January 13, 2009

Played my Paladin again last night. Had a couple quests left over in Westfall so finished those and then did a couple more in Redridge. Right now the quests are really simple considering my level is a little higher than the mobs I'm fighting. I almost died once as I got 3 condors and a dragon thingy (don't remember their names), but I kept healing myself and was barely able to make it through. As I mentioned yesterday the healing spell for my Paladin only heals about half of his hit points. Part of my problem is probably my gear as I really haven't upgraded it for a while now. Maybe I should spend some gold to do that, but I'm still having a pretty easy time as long as I don't attract too many mobs...

I think I will start upgrading my gear and focusing more on + strength and attk power gear. I also need to level my engineering as it's only at about 60 right now. Need to add enchants to my gear and also get the necessary strength scrolls and some potions, probably the lions elixir and the elixir of defense would be good. I also need bigger bags. Lots of stuff to do. I'll probaby start with leveling engineering as I'd like to get the head gear and the dynamite.

I dinged level 22 so got some new spells. Will continue to play tonight. Seems like I go up a level each night so by next week I should reach level 30 and will then move on to my Warrior.

Daily Blog - January 12, 2010

Played my Paladin some more last night and finished all of the Westfall quests. I'm at level 21 now and headed over to Redridge to continue questing. I died once on the beach of Westfall. I've noticed that the healing spell for the Paladin is not that great. Not nearly as much as my Priest. Should play again tonight.

Daily Blog - January 11, 2010

Played several hours over the weekend and got all my characters up to level 20. My Druid didn't take too long as I was halfway there before the weekend started. Needed a lot of drinks to get there though as his mana ran out quickly. Bought him a horse and once I start playing him again I will try out the new cat form. Hopefully it's better than the bear form. Next up was my Priest which I've mentioned before is one of my favorite characters. I take down mobs left and right and never die. It may take longer to kill off mobs, but there's usually no waiting in between fights as his mana rarely gets low unless I'm fighting multiples. It was easy to get to 20 with him. I also bought his horse. Finally it was my Shaman that was left. I brought him to level 20 last night. Wasn't too difficult, but not really excited about using all the totems. I got his elephant afterwards.

My next step was going back to my original character, the Paladin. I think it's been several months since I've played him, but I think I will go ahead and level him to 30. Looking at his quests my Paladin still hadn't completed all of his quests in Westfall, so went back there and started going through them. All I have left there now is the Lighthouse quests. Should be simple since he's level 20. Once I finish Westfall, I'll head over to Redridge and get through all of them. I'm pretty sure I won't be level 30 by then so I'll finish up by going to Darkshire.

Daily Blog - January 8, 2009

Didn't play last night as I watched the college football championship instead. I did learn that I can get travel form for my Driud since it went to level 16 after that patch a while back. I hadn't played my Druid in a while so didn't realize it before yesterday. Should be playing tonight.

Daily Blog - January 7, 2010

Played my Druid once again last night in Redridge. Dinged level 19 and halfway to 20 now. It's a slow process. Had to buy a lot of food and drink to keep this fella alive. Working on the goolash (or whatever) quest right now and got everything except for the condor meat. That will be difficult because the condors are in dangerous zones, at least they are for my Druid. I'm using his magic instead of the bear form. Not sure if it's easier using bear or not. I just think using the bear form is so darn boring....

Not sure if I'll play tonight as the championship game is on.

Daily Blog - January 6, 2009

I played my Druid last night, but skipped the leveling of my skills and went directly to just leveling my character. I spent a couple hours around Redridge and got half-way to level 19. I really dislike my Druid. His mana goes too fast and once that's gone his health goes fast as well. Maybe I have the wrong gear for him..... I will play again tonight, but if my wife plays then I'll be playing my Warlock.

Played a little last night. Still helping my wife in Redridge. She's now level 19 and has a couple more quests to do before she is caught up with me.

Daily Blog - January 4, 2010

Another long weekend and I was able to get in some more playing time. I finished leveling my Warlock to 20 and bought a new mount. Then I realized that he gets the skill to summon his own special mount...oh well. Next I am supposed to work on my Druid, but I think the Druid is one of my least favorite characters and I really enjoyed playing my Warlock so I went ahead and kept on playing my Warlock instead. I'm currently at level 22 right now. I've got my wife to come back and play as well. She's a level 18 Rogue so I helped her level last night. Maybe I will play my Warlock when I'm playing with her and level my Druid when I'm playing by myself. I'm going to be really busy at work for the next couple of months though so may not get a lot of time to play.
